Museum Without Walls
Our Museum Without Walls has its own dedicated website.
We’re using augmented reality (AR) to bring back lost aspects of our town’s past. AR allows us construct digital, animated, three-dimensional representations of buildings and other objects that have been lost to time. Using a smart phone or tablet you can walk around the town and see some of it it as it once was.
Over the next few years we hope to design and deliver 12 or so augmented reality exhibits. The first three have been created and you can see for yourself how the Museum Without Walls will work. They are: The Lost Fountain on The Prospect, Underhill at the Market Place, and a Wye Tour Boat down by the Hope and Anchor on the riverside.
